Hey everyone! Thank you all for your very sweet comments regarding my last couple of posts. They have completely made my days...yes, days!!! The kit and card got swooped up right away and it's already on it's way to new owner Jenny. :) I'm a little encouraged to try my hand at creating another!
But moving along, there is currently an all Tech Stamping challenge over on the Technique Tuesday Splitcoast forum to show off some of the new stamps! I've already shown off one of my favorite sets in this post here, but I have another big time favorite!! Check it...
Oh my goodness, isn't that image just two sweet?? Two friends, carefree, and one giving a helping hand. This set is the new Life is Good set....love it! I positively adore this silhouette and I simply embossed it with white embossing powder on some patterned paper that I've had sitting in my stash just waiting to be used. :) The papers are all from Echo Park's For the Record. My sentiment also came from the new set Swanky Sentiments. I added some little butterflies flitting by for fun and then some bling courtesy of Want 2 Scrap on my centers and tea stained tag. My layout completely came from the most current Sketch Challenge over on Splitcoast as well.
I hope you like it!! I kind of liked using all these soft muted colors...hard to photograph but looks really delicate and nice in person. :)
Ok, I am off to prepare for the release next week for Taylored Expressions...it's a GREAT one!! Thanks so very much for your visit and such awesome comments.

Oh my shabby goodness!
Hey everyone! Wow, this weekend has been a whirlwind...LITERALLY!! I spent almost all weekend in my dancing shoes and got spun around so much that I think I lost a few brain cells...hopefully they'll find their way back, LOL!
Anyway, I finally was able to photograph my next shabby card using some of that new Girls' Paperie line...let's just get right to it, shall we?? I know I promised it on Sunday and the clock is ticking it's way already onto Monday!
I.Love.This.Card.
Every single thing about it. I used some new Papertrey Ink goodies on it...I ADORE the new Button Boutique set...the fact that Michelle Wooderson concepted it is just icing on the cake. :)
Plus those Tiny Tags die concepted by Melissa Phillips...need I say more?? *Swoon* I made another one of my ribbon flowers...this time in shabby cream.
And you know how I've been trying to get better at sharing?? Well I made a little something for ya...
Meet my Girls' Shabby kit. I added 3 pieces of that gorgeous Girls' Paperie patterned paper that I used on my last two projects...all sized to layer a card front or be cut up *gasp* if you so choose. :) I sewed a piece of muslin together to form up a pocket and adhered a piece of vintage crochet right to the top. I stamped "Craft Worthy" on top so you can reuse to store your precious vintage items right inside.
And the contents....
1 yard each of hand-dyed pink and blue seam binding
2 hand stitched ribbon flowers
10 tea-stained tags (die cut from the PTI die Tiny Tags)
various Girls' Paperie die cuts
4 vintage buttons
2 decorative pins (from Maya Road)
tea stained wide twill
and 2 mini glassine bags (not shown)
Absolutely luscious yes?? I'm in the process of putting both the card and kit up in my Etsy shop. :) I hope you enjoy it!!!
PS. Check this out.....I AM THRILLED!!!!!!! More on this later. :)

The TE Sketch Challenge is Back!!!
Wooot!! Happy Friday everyone! I am thrilled to announce that Taylor's Sketch Challenge is back in full swing starting today!!! Since we now have a presence over on the Splitcoast forums, be sure and check out the challenge both there and at Taylor's blog for all the info. And check it out...there is a PRIZE involved here!! Here's what we had to work with this week...
And here is my interpretation....
I used an oldie, but goodie set, Friendship Blooms with the coordinating Friendship Blooms die on my card here. The patterned paper is from another one of my recent paper pack faves, MME Stella Rose Gertie. I followed the sketch pretty closely...which is pretty surprising for me, lol! I hope you get to play this week in the challenge. Here are some important details for playing along.
You can see all of the details regarding the sketch challenge both on Taylor's blog and over at our Splitcoast forum in this thread HERE.
Also!!! This week's sketch challenge is your chance to join me on the Sketch Challenge team!!! Just be sure to use TESampler2011 in the keyword section when you submit your card to the Splitcoast Gallery.
I can't wait to see what you create this week!!!! Here is the list of the rest of Sketch Crew with their GORGEOUS samples and a special guest...the winner of the Top Chef contest, Amber Hight!
Thanks for your visit today and I should have a post up on SUNDAY with my new kit for the Etsy store...you aren't going to want to miss this one!! :)

Stick a fork in me....
...and call me done cause I've just gone into stampy heaven!! Ok, not for real, but I am pretty excited!! You see, I stalk all of the blogs that give us nice little sneaks of what's to come at CHA and I've been literally droooooling....salivating...foaming at the mouth, to get my hands on the new Girls' Paperie Winter release. Crazy, I know! Well, I visited my local Archiver's over the weekend, and 'lo and behold, they had the entire release just sitting there taunting me. Yeah...I bought it all, and I couldn't wait to get home to create. Wanna see?? :)
Oh yes, I'm totally in love with these papers. The panel on the right is actually one of the new ones and the one on the left is from a previous release. They actually match really nicely to the older lines, which is very nice! Yes, I've created more... with different papers...and with another kit to put on Etsy...I'll try to put that post up within the next couple of days, because, you see, I figured out how to create this...
...And well, I made some extras. :) I think these are my favorite little ribbon flowers to date.
In other personal news, I'm so happy it's Tuesday. I've recently started taking Zumba classes and I_LOVE_IT!!! Yep, on Tuesdays and Thursdays you can see me at my local gym shaking my booty till my back hurts...it's AWESOME, LOL!! I even have the Zumba game for our XBox Kinect that I use for an additional 45 minute workout, cause let me tell ya, this momma needs to shed some pounds!
Ok, off to finish up the projects here and put on a girdle or something, LOL! See you back in a couple of days!

Hugs and Smiles
So, spring break is almost coming to a halt here in my household. I'm kind of sad that it's almost over! I mean, we didn't do anything so notable with our staycation, but we spent lots of time with the kids and family friends, which was GREAT! We discovered geocaching (the kids loved finding little treasures), grilled out at a friends, enjoyed a St. Patty's day shin dig, made a trip to the zoo, and will celebrate Holi day (in the Indian culture) Saturday evening. I've also begun taking an online photography course and I'm spending lots of time taking photos practicing the SLR in Manual mode...HELLO!! It's taking some getting used to. :) But yeah, totally been kept busy.
There has been one thing at the top of my to-do list though...and that was to send a heartfelt "thank you" over to Stacey Caron with Spellbinders. She was sooo generous and sent me a NICE selection of new dies for my work on the Want 2 Scrap design team. Yes, I have the new pennant die in my hot little hands already!! ;) So here is my card...made with one of the new sets from Technique Tuesday, Sweet Somethings. Yep, I also got my order from Technique Tuesday and this set is just one of the new ones that was released at Winter CHA 2011!! I just adore this greeting! I'm sending her big hugs and smiles because I just can't thank her enough!
Love, love it!! I used some of the new Nestabling Labels 2 in Black rhinestones here....also a new release from CHA. My layout inspiration came directly from the latest Mojo challenge, which was just too gorgeous of a sketch to resist.
So as I was creating this card, I realized that I should share some of the things I use to create with. I hoard so badly, really. So this is what I did...I set things aside that I used to create this card with...and added a few of my prized vintage goodies.
See this?
These are my beloved jar of authentic vintage buttons. My mother-in-law gave them to me and these all came from her mom and grandmom. Awesome, right? Well I've had these for well over a year...and, I'm ashamed to say, this is probably almost the exact same amount that I received back then...minus only a few. :) Do I really need to hoard these so? NO! So this is for you....
Papers used on my card from Cosmo Cricket Circa 1934 Collection
1 yard of hand dyed seam binding
Maya Road Crochet trim in Ivory
3 mini clothespins
3 vintage ivory buttons
vintage crochet doily
3 vintage tickets
1 hand dyed Prima flower
1 mini kraft bag
All packaged up in a folded and sewn lunch bag...each pocket has a goodie! :)
All the bits and bobs perfect for your creation! What do you think?
It will be up in my Etsy store...one of a kind, so when it's gone, it's gone! Who knows, if this is a hit, maybe I'll create more with future creations? We shall see! Enjoy the weekend everyone....it's ending is already creeping on us!

Hello Spring!
Yes, I think spring is finally arriving here!! I'm beginning to see flowers start to bloom and the bluebonnets sprouting, just awaiting that perfect moment to say, "hello! take a look at me in all my blue glory!" :) So I was inspired to make this card from using one of the new sets Taylored Expressions just released this month called, Hello Spring. So very appropriate, right?! I went with a clean and simple design following the Splitcoast CAS challenge for this week to stamp outside the box. Ok, so I really stamped outside the circle...well, I hope this qualifies! I even was motivated to take the pictures outside with my card perched right on one of the old Oaks in my front yard. :)
And speaking of Splitcoast... you should head on over there.....because Taylored Expressions is the newest Member Company!!!! Ever heard of Splitcoaststampers? Why, they are the largest stamping community on the web!! There is an endless supply of inspiration to be had there....not to mention, the BEST forums/discussions on everything stampy/crafty related! I would love it if you paid us a visit over on the Taylored Expressions forums! And to sweeten your visit up a bit, Taylor is hosting a fun challenge to celebrate her Grand Opening of the Member Forum. You can get all the info regarding the challenge by clicking HERE!!!!! There are even digital images up for grabs! Go on! Play along!! You have nothing to lose, but possibly some goodies to gain! :) See you over on the forums!!

Black and White and a splash of color!
That was the subject of the latest Play Date Cafe Challenge for an awesome chance at a prize of yummy Twinery twine!! I tell ya, this card took a while to make! I wanted to make my own custom patterned paper with a damask pattern...yes, that's not patterned paper up there! I actually used 3 sets from Technique Tuesday to create my pattern. The long bordered lacy line is from the set Vintage Lace set...my goodness it stamps sooo beautifully! The actual damask image is from the Damask set and finally, I grabbed an image from the Favorite Memories set to fill in the gaps. I love the way it turned out. :) My Thank You sentiment comes from the Little Sentiments set and that wraps up a whopping FOUR sets used on this card, LOL!! It's so nice to have a variety on hand and mix and match them up all together.
Ok, off to shower. I've been taking a Zumba class and it totally kicks my butt...but in a good way!! Look forward to it every week. :) Hope you have a wonderful week!!!

Taylored Expressions Sneak Peek - Day 3
Hello again everyone and welcome to the third day of sneaks for the big release bright and early tomorrow morning!! That's 8 AM PST Thursday, March 3!! So I promised some more 3D projects, and I'm delivering on my promise with this post! I have a couple of projects that make great, sweet gifts for anyone with a sweet tooth in your life...who doesn't know one?! :)
The first set I am just THRILLED to show you is actually a brand new banner stamp called the Pennant a la Carte. And yes...there is totally a coordinating die!!! Check it out!
Ack!! I can't stand it, it's so adorable!!! Ok, let me first start by saying, that I saw these little chocolate carrots in a box at my local grocery store a couple weeks ago and knew I need to alter it for a release project. :) I did NOT make the box that they are perched in...it totally came that way, so score one for not having to do much work!! I simply covered the front with more patterned paper from the Spring Project Pantry...and here's my favorite part....created a fence with last months Picket Fence Border die (so cute!!) and adhered a line of grass in front of it with the Martha Stewart Grass Border Punch.
So I inked up each pennant with the Pink Pastel Chalk ink and the Ice Blue Chalk ink, both in the cat's eye pads for better detail. I then went over the pink pennants with a white gel pen to make little polka dots. I used the Butterflies die again just because...it's spring and spring brings pretty butterflies! :) Pretty darn simple here to put this together and just keep it right in the packaging it's in!
My next project features the new set A Tweet for You, which features the CUTEST favor frame images that, of course, coordinate with the Favor Frame die! Oh my, there are so many adorable little spring images in this set, and I tried to use as many as I could in my project. :)
Can you see all the different frames I used (4 adorable ones!!) and a glimpse of some of the images and sentiments? I love it!!! I used more of the Spring Project Pantry here and simply poured some more of those same Easter jelly beans (are you surprised there's any left?? me too!), into the Test Tubes available right in the store! I topped each tube with a tied bow and then tied my tags right to it. Easy peasy!! Ok, I hope you have gotten some great ideas and be sure to check out more from the Bakers + Taylor!
Thanks so much for your visit and see you bright and early tomorrow morning for the release post!

Taylored Expressions Sneak Peek - Day 2
Hey everyone and welcome back to Day 2 of sneaks for the big Taylored Expressions release on Thursday morning! I'm so happy you have come back today. I have a couple of really fun projects to share with you...one a 3d item that makes a GREAT teacher/friend/co-worker, etc gift! Are you excited to see??!
So the first project on the menu features the new set, Easter Joy. This is another mini stamp set but really packs a big punch with all of the adorable Christian images and sentiments. The set actually has 10 images including 2 Bible verses. I used the Spring Project Pantry on this card because, well, I just LOVE all the papers and embellishments in the kit. I think you're going to find even more projects with the kit later. :) Anyway, the tone on tone floral image on the bottom panel is actually a stamp from the set that is long enough to fit the card lengthwise! I curved the stamp just for fun and stamped repeatedly. And I've got to say, I would be completely remiss if I didn't give credit to the inspiration for this card, which comes from Procrastination Station...soo cute! I was thrilled that the sun from this set fit perfectly in one of the Circle Nestabilities so I could make my focal point completely framed with image and sentiment. :) I used even more Nesties behind the "sun" with the Lacey Circles and Dahlia die. I also used TE's very own Cloud Duo die as side accents and added some Taylor's Tiny Twinkles for sparkle.
And on we go to 3D....
Oy, I'm not sure I can part with this one! First off, this project features images from the new set, Hello Spring. This set actually coordinates with Easter Joy and is part of the Apple Doodle line of stamps. You'll also notice that the greeting on the front coordinates with the new It's a Banner Day 2 stamp set and die!!!! I was pretty excited when I discovered this....it's the little things that get me. :) Anyway, yep, more Spring Project Pantry here coupled with tons of little embellishments right out of the TE store. Goodies like soft pink rhinestones, Spring Paper Pretties, White Metal Flowers, Pink Ruffle Blossoms, Pink Mini Rose trim, and finally the Little Yellow Heart Whimsie. Love, love, LOVE all the little delicate doo-dads added on top.
And opening to all the yumminess inside. :) Store bought Eastery jelly beans (that taste positively wonderful...you know I just had to do a taste-test) as a sweet "tweet for you." Oh my goodness this just oozes of sweetness!! And I positively love the little chick peeking inside for his sweet little message. Don't forget, this altoid-styled tin is available right in the TE store HERE and this has a coordinating die so that you can quickly cut your paper and glue it right on top or right on the insides as I've shown above. BEST DIE EVER!! Check it out HERE!! And you can also stamp a cute border and make more giftables with the Enjoy set that also coordinates with these tins!
Ok, I hope you enjoyed today's projects! I love making some 3D items and I actually have MORE to show you tomorrow!!! Please come back!! LOL :)
In the mean time, let's check out what the rest of the Baker's Dozen have for ya!

LOL :)
