Ok, I'm a day late and a dollar short, but did you all at least have a good one?? Whether you were being celebrated, or you celebrated yours, I hope it was a fantastic day! I had a good one...I spent pretty much all afternoon stamping. I had a list of challenges (holy cow there are a ton out there) that I wanted to tackle. I wanted to try out a new challenge from Dawn McVey, called the Raspberry Suite Color Challenge. This is actually her fifth challenge and boy does that girl do some knock-down-drag-out beautiful work! I paired it with Jen's SFYTT sketch challenge....that girl does awesome work too!!
Anywho, this is what the two combined sketches merged into.
So the colors I used were Basic Grey, Regal Rose, and Pink Passion. Quite the combo, eh?! And remember those crappy stamps that gave me nothing but headache from Costco? Well, there is a flourish on it that I just LOVE. Of course, the image doesn't ever stamp nice and crisp, so I just went with it. I figured I would go with the imperfectness of the images and let it ride. Both of the images are stamped off because I felt the imperfection of the image looked better as a muted color instead of bold. Yeah, I'm not artistic at all, but just work with me on this!! LOL The greeting is from H&M Stamps Angelic Moments, and of course, that stamps just beautifully. :)
Oh yeah!! Notice the dry embossing on the regal rose piece?? That's a new folder from Quickkutz!! I can't wait to play with it more. heehee
Thanks for stopping in and getting, "in stamping mode!"

Melissa...soooo gorgeous! The SU Basic Gray is one of my fav's to work with!
Beautiful colour combination! I love the ribbon and the rhinestone details... great card!
I'm going to agree 100%. The color combo is gorgeous and the overall look really is very regal. No bad stamping here!
Gorgeous card!

Beautiful, beautiful, card! Love the way you framed the sentiment and all the glitz is the perfect touch!
Very pretty! Love the ribbon!
Love the colors & I love that ribbon too!!
Very nice card. I love all the many touches you added and yet it doesn't look too busy-bling, buttons, ribbon, and embossing all on one card! Have you tried running an emery board over your crappy stamps? I had heard of this many times, but finally tried it on some of the cheap $$ stamps from Michaels and it makes the image clearer...wouldn't give them a 100% in quality, but they are much improved and don't give the muddled crappy look they did before sanding them.
This is GORGEOUS, Melissa! Love the bling ;)
Very pretty card. I noticed all the rhinestone details right away!
