This election makes me so nervous! It's like watching football...all the ups and downs in the middle make you stressed enough that you just want to hurry up and get to the end to see who wins! What's a girl to do but stamp in the mean time?? :)
So while I was checking my subscribed blogs, I was thrilled to see Lynn's blog post today (She seems like the sweetest person ever!) I was inspired by one of her cards to make a similar one! Here's the inspiration and here's what I came up with.
It's a kind of quickie! I did cut out all 3 parts of the trees and sponge them up with 3 different colors, but aside from that, easy peasy!
I stamped the trees first in Certainly Celery and then cut out the 3 pieces of the tree. I then used a sponge dauber to apply Old Olive ink all around the edges, going lighter towards the middle. I then sponged the bottom and side edges with Always Artichoke and then sponged a bit of Chocolate Chip at the bottom of each pieces. The middle tree's bottom is adhered directly to the cardstock and the middle piece is popped up with a dimensional. The top of the tree is popped up with 2 dimensionals layered on top of each other. It's like a stair step...looks neato in person! I then added a bit of Dazzling Diamonds to the tops of each parts of the tree and at the base. I followed Lynn's instruction of adding a bit of yellow to make the trees pop. It works! I used So Saffron ink and a blender pen.
All Supplies Stampin' Up!
Stamps: Christmas Classics
Ink: Certainly Celery, Old Olive, Always Artichoke, Chocolate Chip
Paper: Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Ski Slope dsp
Accessories: Square Scallop punch, Chocolate stitched ribbon, dazzling diamonds
Can you tell I'm loving the Christmas Classics stamp set? You should get one too! ;)
