Ready to get started?? Here's your sketch!

And here is my take on it!

I actually made this card as a sympathy card for my friend Shannan. She has had a devastating loss and I think about her every day.

My color inspiration came from Melissa's blog...I just love visiting her blog for inspiration...I could spend many many minutes...ok, hours, adoring all her creations. I used the Discover Your Wings set from Taylored Expressions on this one....such a gorgeous set....and for such a great cause...I just love that. I stamped the large floral image in Tim Holtz Antique Linen distress ink and then distressed the edges with the same. I also used Very Vintage Labels No. 1 stamps from Waltzingmouse. My butterfly was stamped with retired Cool Caribbean ink (bring that color back pleasekthanks) and then aged it with my distress ink again. Ooooh, I used some fun Picket Fence crackle paint (another Tim Holtz product) on my chipboard and just LOVE the look of that...you gotta click on the picture to see it better! My doily was spritzed with Treasured Hymn Spritz and I also added a bit of dazzling diamonds on the centers of my flowers and called it done. My sentiment is inside the card.

Ready for more awesome inspiration before you tackle your sketch-inspired project??? Here goes!

Gorgeous, Melissa! That 'friend' is a nut for acting that way. She appears to be the one who needs your prayers...the Bible says for us to pray for our enemies, it's hard though! I can't imagine anyone having a problem with you!

Hi Melissa,
I am writing to tell you how much I LOVE your card!! It's my favorite style with the soft colors and vintage feel! I too love to look at Melissa Phillip's blog and her style is also my all time favorite! I recently started my own blog http://ohsocutebylisa.blogspot.com/ I've been so inspired by all of this card making talent and I am having so much fun! I was wondering how you get your name at the bottom of all of the pictures? I see this on a lot of the blogs. Still learning the ins and outs!
Thanks, Lisa
